I was chatting with a client who couldn’t stop t

I was chatting with a client who couldn’t stop thinking about some of what he’d done in the past when he wasn’t in a good place which would make him feel bad now. Thing is, he has no connection to the past now, he has a lovely family and great job and everything to be happy and grateful for, yet thinking about the past made him unhappy. I told him “you are what you eat”, you think about the past so much so your brain assumes you like feeling bad, so it becomes a habit. I told him to walk out the door and go to the past, he couldn’t, why? NEWSFLASH, the past doesn’t exist anyone! So he’s worrying about what he’s imagining which is creating anxiety which makes him worry about the past which makes him feel bad, then lather rinse repeat! It’s a cycle of destructive thoughts that feeds into itself. Every cycle can be broken by doing something different. So now he’s filling in daily gratitude diaries to get his brain focusing on the positives and joy around him now which will create a new cycle of good thoughts the brain can then focus on.So many people have their mind in the imagined past and don’t take time to look at the beauty of now. What should you be thinking about?

Another COVID update! From today’s lockdown announcement the following changes to the way I work will commence immediately:Existing clients: I will carry on seeing existing clients face to face but will space sessions out to allow for thorough cleaning between sessions. Online will be given as an alternative.New clients: I will only take on new clients face to face if there is a psychological, emotional or physical risk of harm to self. Online sessions will be an alternative option.Thank you.

It’s where Neo, after being chased, shot at and beaten, realises he has the power to control the matrix and says “No” just as he’s about to be hit by a barrage of bullets. The bullets stop in mid-flight and he looks at them with curiosity and calmness, then gives them permission to drop to the floor. He then realises his true power.In your life, how often do you feel powerless and unable to control the bullets? How often do you just allow yourself to be shot at without realising you have the power to say ‘No’ and change the dynamics?What Neo stopped was bullets. What do you need to stop and say ‘No’ to? I see so much BS about manifestations, just wish f

I see so much BS about manifestations, just wish for it, dream it etc and people buy into it as it’s easier to dream than to do and many unscrupulous salespeople cash in on that belief. The rather boring version is that work creates achievement, you have to put in the effort to get the reward out. For every one person that says manifestation/law of attraction works there’s thousands who are having a horrific run in life. Life isn’t easy or kind and you have to put in effort to get something out of it. Effort is action. Keep the dreaming for sleep time.
Please look around at the choices you are making and the consequences of them. You can believe in a higher force if that makes you feel better but you still have to go out and create the reality you desire. What do you want, how do you achieve it, break it down into steps and BEGIN. Stop wasting time with false prophets.

Not the most catchiest of IG posts is it? It’s true though. Neuroplasticity is the brains ability to reorganise itself by forming new neural connections throughout life. These neural connections can be responsible for our perception of the outside world and therefore how we react towards it and ourselves. By changing our brain we are changing the dysregulation that is creating the undesired behaviour and negative thinking that we all get from time to time and, for some, becomes so problematic that it interferes with leading a happy, productive and rewarding life.Hypnosis is amazing at activating the imagination to make it so vivid the brain believes the imagined event is happening so your brain starts to get rewired to a more desirable outlook!This can help in so many areas of your life: work, relationships, hobbies, sports, social etc.If you feel you need to be rewired then drop me a line to see if I can help.
